About Sherry Halperin
Sherry Halperin was born and raised in Beacon, New York. As a teen, she studied at the Dramatic Workshop in New York City and spent five summers at Cecilwood Theatre in Fishkill, New York as a summer stock apprentice alongside such notables as Barbra Streisand, Dustin Hoffman and Peter Fonda. She went West for College and received her degree from the Pasadena Playhouse College of Fine Arts with a major in directing.
Ms. Halperin has consistently worked on projects in the arts from distributing feature films, agenting actors, directing stage productions and working on hundreds of hours of network and cable television as a writer, producer and director.
She was a producer on the award-winning feature film Adopt A Sailor and was honored to be a past president of Women In Film and Television.
Her books, Recue Me, He’s Wearing A Moose Hat, Just Call Me Lady and now, Mistress Molly have all been optioned for possible films.
Sherry is a humorist who strongly believes in the power of laughter to heal, enhance and empower a fulfilling life. She resides in Santa Cruz, California with her six-pound poodle, Clouseau, loves playing Ukulele on the beach, has two great sons, two beautiful daughters-in-laws and two fabulous grandsons.
